The Coffee shop.

Julia  was working on a  night shift at a coffee shop and  was day dreaming about a distinguish older man touching her in ways no other man could. When Sheila suddenly dropped a rack of dishes and broke her chain of thought.

 The rack of dishes fell across her feet and cut deep into her leg. Rushing over to assist Sheila with the broken dishes Julia asked "Do you need me to call the ambulance " ?. Sheila replied
 " No ! just help me get to a table and grab the first aide kit from the office ," as blood gushed out the side of Sheila's leg. Damon the night shift manager stood in shock seeing Sheila bleeding from her open womb. "I can't stand the sight of blood", Damon replied, as he  fainted in front of Margret.  ''Can someone call the ambulance we need immediate help over here'' ,Margret cried. 


When the paramedics arrived Sheila was unconscious as a result of  blood she had lost, and Damon still was past out . Julia, her best friend was frantic watching her life like body drenched in the pool of blood. "Help her please  , and for God sake someone give Damon some smelling salt'' , Julia cried out.  After the paramedics got Sheila stable, they placed her on a gurney and rushed her to the nearest hospital.  Damon got up on his two feet and sat back in a chair without any assistance as Margret asked  " Are you okay now ?" ,he replied  "No, I faint every time  I see the sight of blood. I must have hit my head on the floor because I feel a large knot and small cut over my eyebrow''.

Damon asked ''where is Sheila , is she dead from all the pool of blood left on the floor ?'' but  nobody responded . He  repeated  ''where is Sheila ?''.  By this time he  had started to be agitated and began to pace outside the coffee shop. He loves Sheila ,and will do anything just to go out on one date with her and now she's dead he thought.


By the time the coffee shop was closing , Sheila had called and spoken with Julia to say she was doing better and to inform her she will be there overnight just for observation.  Margret had already left for the night and Damon was still pacing up and down the side walk just when Julia hung up the phone from Sheila. Damon had pushed someone's face into the front glass of the coffee shop, both men where  punching, kicking, biting and cursing each other.


Julia ran to the front door to assist Damon as the unknown man had both hands around Damon throat, jumping on his back and gouging his eyes the man released his choke hold on Damon , then started to beat on Julia. She yelled out from the striking blow he delivered to her face. That was when Damon jumped from the ground and tackled the unknown man again, both men still scuffling over the ground as Julia looked for an object to defend Damon and herself  from this wicked man.

 Julia got a bat and hit the wicked unknown man in the back, he turned away from Damon and snatched the bat from her hand, and  started whaling on Damon with the bat Julia had found.  Screaming to the top of her lungs she said  "Stop before you kill him"Pointing the bat at her , he walked slowly over to Julia and said " Why did this man attack me as I was walking pass him on the sidewalk. It appeared that he was holding a conversation with someone , when I asked him  " Excuse me Sir did you say something to me "  He replied  "my Sheila is dead and you are  going to die too"

Call the police . "I was assaulted by you and this crazy man ".Julia stated  " It was just a misunderstanding Sir, and from nowhere Damon hit the man in the head with a brick and knocked him down to his feet. What the Hell is going on Damon? He replied "someone must die, for the only woman I love is dead'',  Julia  replied" Sheila is not dead , she will be discharged  from the hospital tommorow''.Reaching out her hand to help the unknown man  up to his feet, she seeing  Damon  through the coffee shop glass as he lifted his right hand up with a butcher knife to stab her with.

The Unknown man pushed Sheila out of the way as the  butcher knife pierced his back. He was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital. Damon still couldn't believe that Sheila was alive as he was taken to a mental institution , as Julia laid side by side with her friend Sheila in the hospital she narrated all what happened at the coffee shop ...

Are you ready for this ...

 There was a soft  knock at the door, when answered; the little voice said ''Journee''.   In comes my little princess that said  ''I love you granny'', with big hugs and kisses. I was very much delighted to see her, running through the house like a mad man . She grabbed as many gifts as she could from underneath the tree, luckily all of them were left for her.

Tearing paper rapidly and opening every box, she came to me with a big smile on her face and said ''granny do you want to play with me?''. I grabbed her up and spent her around and then replied ''You know your granny is tired sweetie , after all the cooking and entertaining of my guests , don't you think your granny is tired?''. Journee responded ''No!''. 
It took all I had not to laugh aloud for her mother was sitting on the couch laughing at her little one terrorizing the house.

 It's always a pleasure to watch children opening their gifts during birthdays and Christmas celebrations . The glee in their eyes and the curiousness of what lie behind the wrapped box makes one remember how wonderful it were be a kid, from this little precious life that gives you so much joy and happiness.

 Suddenly there was quietness in the house , you could hear a pin drop. When Journee ran from the bathroom with my wig on.  I could have fallen right there on the spot. I said " No she didn't as her mother, Josselyn screamed out in laughter and fell back on the couch with tears streaming from her eyes . Journee did a native dance which no one had ever done before as I described it , still we were laughing about her putting on my wig.

Strutting  through the house with hands on her hips , just shaking and moving body parts. Dropping to the floor,twisting and turning  and not one time did that wig fell off .I even started calling her Tina Turner and sang aloud  What's Love got to do with  It,  as Journee continued to dance and parade through the premise. I never witnessed anything like this before . I don't know what to say about these children today. ''It seem like they have been here before."    

Journee stated " Can I keep your wig granny ?" I replied  "No, you can't keep my wig'', as she ran out the front door  screaming ''mine , mine , you can't have it''. My neighbors came outside to see what all the shouting was about as this child from Hell standing there with my twisted wig on , hands on her hips , swaying back and forth as to dare me to catch her and take the wig. I said " Get yourself in this house right now before I call your mother."

 She replied " Okay granny, but mommy lets me wear her wigs too"  Once inside, she took off the wig and handed it to me and said,''I want to spend the night with you granny , your the best, now can I have your wig . I replied  "No! you cannot, but know your granny loves you a whole lot. When you turn your granny's age then you can have my wig. She smiled and said " you will be old then. I can just take all of them ". I just shook my head...

Barbara watched Matt as he paced up and down the warehouse's floor. She asked " Are you okay Matt ?'', he then replied  " I'm sick of my wife accusing me of having an affair, maybe I should just leave and go elsewhere".  Barbara and Matt had been working together for three years now in a factory driving fork trucks ,but Barbara had never seen him so upset before, until this one night as he explained to her what was going on between him and his wife.

By confiding in Barbara, he started to calm down by telling her how wonderful his wife has always been to him and their four children. He would buy his wife Vicki flowers and treat her to and all inclusive vacation. They were the perfect couple in everyone's eyes. All of Matt's family and friends looked up to them as role models in life but Vicki couldn't get the notion out of her head that Matt was having an affair.

 Vicki overheard her husband whispering on the phone to someone she thought was named Donna . She had never met any of his family or friends by that name. She then heard him say " Wear something sexy tonight and I'll be through around 11:00 pm " She dropped the grocery bag from her hand in astonishment, that's when her husband came from the bathroom and asked "  What happen darling, that you dropped the bag? " She replied  "Who was that on the phone you were speaking with dear ?"  He stated  " It was a wrong number babe . You know those telemarketers ".

Bursting into tears she yelled  " You  damn liar!, who is that woman you're going to meet at 11:00 tonight ?''. Matt stood there shaking his head and said " I'm not leaving out to meet anyone dear, you always falsely accusing me of something and it needs to stop now. " Storming out the front door Matt jumped into his ride and sped off as Vicki stood their crying, watching him drive away.

  The next morning the front door squeaked as it was opened by Matt .It was 6:00 am when he arrived home. Vicki had been up all night waiting for him to come in. She walked over to him and slapped him in the face and told him to pack his bags and leave . ''This is the  last time that you will lie and cheat on me''. While packing ,Matt thought about the wonderful night he had, it's been a long time since he had this much fun with someone he was definitely compatible with.

 Vicki poured herself a cup of coffee as she called her best friend Sharon to tell her the news about her lying , cheating husband that she couldn't tolerate any longer. The thought of him sleeping with someone made Vicki sick to her stomach. "How could he?" she told her friend Sharon.

She sat in silence after ending her call with Sharon and thought about the way he had started behaving toward her , that he had become more distant. The thought of her reaching out to embrace , kiss ,or even make love to him seem to turn him away. This has been going on for months she recalled. While trying to discuss these matters with Matt he would just suddenly leave the house.


After Matt had shared his secret with Barbara of what transpired between him and his wife, she exploded " You are a lying cheating bastard that I've known for three years . Why didn't you tell your wife that you are Gay and  have been sleeping with your friend Don, who is HIV positive."

For many years people have celebrated their birthdays or wedding anniversaries or just friendships. In talking with a beautiful woman Sue, that I've known for many years and my son's Aunt, on how she celebrated a wonderful 60th  birthday . This is what she had to say in the video below.

Sue Marr

Sue had just turned 60 and had hosted a party at a hall with family and friends. She said " It was good to come together with family and friends . I really enjoyed myself. I danced and kicked up a little dust'',  she chuckled .
 She had a surprise visit from her son that lives in Texas. She was very delighted to see him and her grandchildren. Sue narrated how the event went ''Most people only come together when there is a funeral and it shouldn't be that way .

''  I give all the Glory and thanks to God for letting me live to see another day. My family and  I went  on  a trip to Las Vegas Nevada,and  that was my first time ever going in my life. We did a lot of walking for the first two days and  enjoyed dining out.  The food appeared to be a little pricey but we all favored it highly. I don't gamble. I watched them play on the slot machines but no one won any sufficient amount of money. I believe the machines was cold.

''Our reservation was at Harrah Hotel located on the strip , the rooms  were just ordinary rooms, nothing special about them .  At night we went downtown and saw a light show , waterfalls and people entertained with Karaoke. I realized at this age I wanted to enjoy life more by traveling and spending more time with my family and grandchildren who I love dearly'', she said.

This writer had known Sue for a number of years , She has always been there for family and friends , Sue is the most caring , generous woman .  Wishing her long  live and  happy prosperous life .

As the Best man, Kenneth stood before the alter waiting for the most beautiful woman he ever saw to walk down the aisle to marry his cousin, Joseph. His heart was pounding and sweat was dripping from underneath his clothes. He said to Joseph , " I don't think I can go through with it." As the temperature in the room was rising, and the thoughts of  him being with  his cousin bride -to- be Sharon, It took all he had not to tell Joseph that he loved her too.

It was a sin to feel this way about his cousin's fiance but he never knew these feelings existed until this present moment as he watched her every movement. "Sharon was tall and thin with an Angelic face'', according to Kenneth.  He loved her  and wanted her to feel the same way about him.  How could he let her know what's brewing inside him?. This is aching , his heart felt longing to reach out and touch her.

The Church was over crowded with family and friends who came to witness the great occasion as the band started to play " Here comes the Bride'' , as everyone stood to see her walk down the aisle. Joseph kept thinking about when the Pastor would say " I pronounce you husband and wife " as he gestured to Kenneth by putting two fingers up while slowly nodding his head and smiling .

But Kenneth couldn't allow this wedding to take place. He thought about what he could do to stop this ceremony, then suddenly he collapsed .Everyone rushed to see if he was okay but no response until he heard Sharon's voice  asking " Are you alright Kenny?'', she was the only one that ever called him that.  Joseph and Sharon both helped him up from the floor and since the church was so humid inside. Joseph went to get him a drink of cold  water.

Now at this very moment Kenneth planned to execute his move on Sharon.  He jumped up from the church bench where he was sitting and grabbed Sharon's  arm, pulled her to the closest exit.  Sharon  was kicking and screaming but eventually found herself in the trunk of his car. Everyone thought it was a joke or part of the ceremony since Kenneth and Joseph are blood related cousins. But when Joseph finally came back with the water he asked " Where is Sharon ?" The Pastor stated ." I believe she was taken away against her wish by Kenneth, due to the fact she was kicking and screaming as he pulled her out of the church "

Joseph scurried to his car driving like a mad man looking for his bride to- be. After several hours he decided to give up and was afraid to inform the police due to the embarrassment and shame , that it appeared his bride left him at the alter for his cousin.

Sharon continued to yell for help in the trunk of the car. It was an old secluded family ranch house in the woods that had been past down to Kenneth that no one knew about he took her to. Once they arrived he chained Sharon's legs to the furnace. She asked while crying  " Why are you doing this Kenny ?. You know I love Joseph''

He responded  " I love you and I couldn't let you marry him until I told you how I felt. "I need you in my life". Shaking her head while sobbing, Sharon said " Take these chains off of me and let me go now " .But he knew she would  run away and call the police. He kept her like a pet for months in chains as she still denounced her love for him.  "What shall I  do to prove my  love to  you ",
 He asked Sharon, but no response from her.

Finally he surrendered and took a rifle and shot the chains off her legs and told her she was free to go as he sat back in the chair and waited for the police to come  and arrest him of his crime. She ran out the house not knowing what path to take and ended up lost in the woods. Sharon fell down twice and suffered severe cuts, bleeding through the woods. The wild dogs tracked her blood and surrounded her in an attack mode.

Looking around for any object to try to defend herself from this hungry breed of dogs. One of them jump to bite her arm when all of a sudden a gun shot was fired and scared the wild pack of dogs away. Kenneth followed her, for he knew the dangers the woods held. He would give his life to save her. Sharon was happy to see him but still somewhat upset with him as well. Kenneth carried her all the back to his cabin and cleaned up her wounds. He didn't say one word at  the time he was taking care of her. She felt sorry for him and reached out her hand to grab his hands .She kissed him upon the cheek.She forgave him of his sins. Sharon said to Kenneth " We all are not perfect . I see that you care deeply for me. I realize love has no boundaries as she embraced him."

A Dark Memory

 The moon shone bright over Margaret Taylor's house as she gazed up looking at the stars remembering with tears in her eyes how her husband David would beat her for unknown reason in his drunken state. She was thankful for escaping a near death situation last month as she recalled how this happened. 

As she laid in the hospital for a number of days with two broken ribs and swollen bruise body and face, Margaret told her sister Kathy that her husband David beat her often, but was afraid to tell anyone for further upsetting him.  She stated " My husband was not like this before. I don't know what changed him. He started drinking more heavily as weeks past using abusive language on me." Kathy replied  " I'm so sorry for you not confiding in me earlier. I could have at least tried to get you some help''. Looking at her sister's swollen and bruise body Kathy burst out into tears.

  Doctor  Maury approached Kathy and asked her " how long has this been going on with her sister? She has been in this hospital several times previously for falls, scars, and bruises. Is there anything I should know about?",  Still trying to pull herself together  Kathy responded " Her husband beats her and she doesn't know what to do." Doctor Maury said he will have someone to contact her sister to further investigate this matter when she gets better, 

A week went by when a social worker came to visit Margaret . The first thing she asked " Where is your husband now Mrs Taylor and has he tried to contact you in any way ? Margaret replied " The last thing I remember was when he was locked up for  DWI, battery and assault charges. I'm afraid that he is looking for me to hurt me again."  The social worker took her statement and notified the police and provided a Safe Haven shelter for abused women for her to stay when she is discharged from the hospital.

After her release from the hospital Margaret went back home . She was glad to be back to familiar surroundings still not knowing where her husband was located. She prepared to take a long hot bath just to relax. Suddenly she heard a sound from the kitchen. It was Kimmy her cat that she had for some years. The question flowing in her mind was, " who took care of Kimmy while I was in the hospital''. Her heart pounded as she looked around the house for her husband David but lo and behold he's standing by the tub.

She screamed out  ''Please don't hurt me'' as she sighted a knife in his right hand. David shouted  " Where have you been bitch, I've been looking all over for you '', as he jabbed the knife repeatedly in the wall." Immediately Margaret ran down the stairs calling out for help as David ran after her trying to cut her with the knife. She locked herself in a hallway closet , David mumbled " You don't leave me, I own you, Don't you know ?''. 

When the neighbors heard the shouting and screaming from next door , they called the police, but before they could arrive David got the axe from the garage and started chopping into the closet seeking his wife Margaret who is begging and pleading for her life. Once he got the door open he grabbed his wife by her neck and slammed her to the floor. He then pulled out a gun to shoot her but she said, "David I love you , I would never leave you , I've been in the hospital from your physical abuse. I haven't been with any other man ".

    

 David rage still hadn't cool down, that was when he pointed the gun at her to kill his wife, when the police sighted him through the window pointing the gun at his wife. The police opened fire and shot him twice.  He didn't die but Margaret wanted him dead for all he has put her through with the violent abuse she suffered for nearly two years, A man she loved since high school.

  

What makes you a good man?

• How do you spoil your woman?

Some men spoil their wives with money while some with gifts and what have you .What does it take to be a good man at home? When asked , Keith responded by saying " Men need to be good providers for their household , open and close doors for their wives , girlfriends, or significant other and at night give a body massage, that's part of a man's duty ".He continued by saying " men need to buy their significant other jewelry. A good man spoils his Queen".

When Raymond was asked too on what it takes to be a good man his comments are  " Women are spoil enough by giving them money so I choose not to buy her anything but let her go and buy what she wants herself." He added , "I am stress free as long as my wife is happy".

After a few moments of great laughter  he was asked what does it take to be a good woman,   Keith  replied, "A good woman will bring something to the table,  whether it be a good hot meal occasionally , income, or just  be caring by asking me how my day went will be sufficient enough for me''.


Keith advised that couples should always communicate and establish a date night at least once a month, planning  a vacation for the entire family but planning a vacation for just the two of you is a must. He stated that " there is no perfect couple and people may have disagreements but try and work things out and compromise.  It may not go your way all the time but sometimes things may swing in your favor working as one''.
